Putting Techniques

Putting requires a high level of accuracy and experience to accurately hit the ball into the hole, but it is also recommended to be very careful when doing the Approach Shot into the Green to make the putting distance as minimum as possible!

Putting is strongly influenced by the slope of the Green and height of the hole, the basics are:

  • When the ground is tilted to the left, the ball will curve to the left as well.
  • When the slope of the ground is downhill, you have to lower the hitting power, which will make the ball rolls slower, and in the end will increase the effect of the slope!
  • When the slope of the ground is uphill, you have to hit harder, which will make the ball rolls faster, and in the end will decrease the effect of the slope!

Let’s look at the following examples:

In the example above, the hole is at a distance of 6.27 meters from the ball, so the ideal hitting power should be 7 to 8 meters, but because the hole is in the downhill position of -0.57 meters, you should reduce the power calculated earlier for about 3 meters (estimated) to 4 to 5 meters. Then, because the ground is tilted to the left, you should point the ball to the right. And don’t forget to take into account the downhill, meaning the ball will curve to the left even more, and you have to compensate it more to the right.

After that, prepare to hit with the power that has been calculated earlier, which is about 4 to 5 meters. You can also see a marker of the hole distance, for a flat ground, the ideal power is around 1 to 2 meters more than the power shown in the marker.

In the picture above, you can see that Lucia can do a Long Putt for up to 40 meters! This is because Lucia’s favorite club is a Long Putter. Lucia’s equipment also has passive skills that can show you the ball’s movement line. Arin’s character is also a Support – Putter type and her equipment also has passive skills like Lucia, but Arin cannot putt more than 20 meters.
